Solar lights charge up throughout the day and automatically turn on at dusk. Although some charge is gained through the winter months the solar lights require a good day's sun in order to gain a full charge. Simply hang it up or display it in a pot, with solar panel receiving sunlight in the day, then watch as the 20 LED lights automatically come on when the sun goes down, then get a re-charge when it comes back up again.
